Absolutely Fabulated: F FOR FAKE

AFfforfakeposter.jpeg

This time we are watching F FOR FAKE by Orson Welles. The suggested reading is the first chapter of Nietzsche's "Beyond Good and Evil" on falseness and untruth as a condition of life. "Absolutely Fabulated" presents films that fabulate, that invent worlds in the filmmaking, that create new truths by falsifying others. At regular meetings, we'll screen a feature film, related short films, and discuss various notions of fabulation and falsification.
